Originally from Fayetteville, NY outside of Syracuse, I am currently living
in Philadelphia, PA. In addition to
software development and
technical training, I have lots of other interests!

Policy
At Brown, I double concentrated (majored) in Computer Science
and
International & Public Affairs with a focus on
Policy & Governance. I'm interested in how
technology, particularly recent advancements in artificial
intelligence, can help address problems of accessibility and quality
in healthcare and government.
I have experience working as a policy analyst. I spent two semesters
working with the Brown Initiative for Policy, a student-run think
tank, and
MHARI
interviewing Rhode Island behavioral healthcare providers and advocates,
and conducting research on the importance of culture and language match
between providers and patients for behavioral health.
I co-authored a report
titled
"Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) in Rhode
Island"
where we examined how well behavioral healthcare services in Rhode Island
were holding up the federal CLAS standards.
I also have experience as a data scientist. This past summer (2023), I
worked with the Brown School of Public Health to investigate if higher
prices for blood pressure medications might lead to higher rates of
hypertension around the world.
Languages
I love traveling and learning languages. I lived in Spain for 2 years
(one during my junior year of high school and one as a gap year before
college) and I try to go back whenever I can to visit.
I started learning ASL with
a friend during my second gap year (taken during the start of the COVID
pandemic) and continued studying it at Brown for 4 semesters.

Stories
I love to read and I love stories. As a kid, my dad would tell me and
my cousins stories while he drove us to school. My love for stories
turned into a love for theater and I spent most of high school
intensely involved in the theater community both at school and in
Syracuse.
In my senior year, I founded At Rise Productions, a theater company dedicated to providing unique opportunities for
young people to participate in all parts of theatrical production.
Along with producing and directing for At Rise, I also wrote original
music as part of the duo O'Connor & Dunn.
Recently, I have discovered the wonderful world of
TTRPGs and have even started
writing my own.
Service
I believe it is important to give back to your community. In 2021, I
spent a summer serving as an AmeriCorps member with
Onondaga Earth Corps, a nonprofit in Syracuse, NY that works to
empower youth through environmental work. I worked with OEC's Green
Infrastructure team and
designed and led a project to encourage Syracuse community
members to engage with the city parks and gardens that are maintained by
OEC.
Education
Growing up, I attended the Montessori School of Syracuse where I
learned to love learning. I then went on to have a diverse range of
educational experiences including my local public school,
homeschooling, and schools in Spain and Guatemala.
When I started at Brown, I initially planned to study education policy
because I believe in the power and importance of education. And while,
my policy interests broadened in college, I still maintain this belief.
Athletics
I'm a big fan of racket and paddle sports.
I played competitive table tennis in high school and now
I mostly play tennis and squash. I also played three years on Brown's Mens'
C Ultimate Frisbee team.
